Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been companions since youth, and for 10 years, their yearly Christmas Eve get-together has been a yearly night of intemperance and cleverness. Now that they're entering adulthood, the custom is arriving at an end, and to make it as vital as could reasonably be expected, they set out to discover the Nutcracka Ball - the Holy Grail of Christmas gatherings.
