nudity | 2/10 A large flying bug transforms itself into a CGI fairy with female form: the outline of breasts and buttocks are visible. The nipples are clearly shown briefly, though in shadows. The bug is seen "reading" a book so you know when it's about to transform. |
violence | 9/10 A man shoots another person twice in the chest or head, he quickly dies. Someone stabs a villain in the back, and then in the chest, bloody wounds opening up he falls to his knees, and the person pokes the knife into his mouth and slashes his cheek, bloods spray out, (we briefly see a large open wound). A humanoid creature bites the heads off of two fairies (we see bloody flesh being stretched). A group of soldiers are shot, blood sprays from the impacts. A man's face is repeatedly smashed in with a bottle. A villain is shot through the cheek (we see a bloody hole), he falls down silently. We watch as a man stitches up a large cut through his cheek (we see the needle poke through the flesh and then hear the thread tugging against the flesh). A woman goes into labor, we hear her screaming, we see some blood-soaked sheets removed from the room. A frog throws up orange goo (possibly his internal organs, though not bloodied, in a fantacy style) and collapses into frog skin The main character gets shot in her belly. Blood is shown for some seconds in her belly and her hands. |
profanity | 6/10 4 uses of 'fuck (1 'motherfucker') and 'son of a bitch', 2 of 'shit', and 1 of 'bitch' and 'asshole', as well as 5 instances of 'damn', 2 of 'God', and 1 of 'Jesus'. |
alcohol | 5/10 A man drinks a glass of alcohol that has been laced with a sedative. It causes him to stumble and stagger. A man drinks alcohol in a few scenes, and men and women drink wine at a dinner. A man smokes in some scenes. A doctor gives a man an injection of something that will painlessly kill him. |
frightening | 8/10 The Pale Man could be frightening. The Faun's appearance could also frighten. Some of the violence is intense. The entire movie has an eerie and dark feel. BBFC - (15): strong language, bloody violence. |
