On the edges of a little seaside town in the Barents Sea, where whales once in a while go to its sound, experience a customary family: Kolya (Aleksey Serebryakov), his wife Lilya (Elena Lyadova) and their high school child Romka. The family is spooky by a neighborhood defiled leader (Roman Madyanov), why should attempting take away the area, a house and a little auto repair shop from Kolya. To spare their homes Kolya calls his old Army companion in Moscow (Vladimir Vdovichenkov), who has now turned into a definitive lawyer.
