You only see the woman's bare shoulders and part of the man's chest/back, everything else is covered with the bed sheets. At the end of that scene the man moves and leans over top of the woman to kiss, then the scene is cut. |

The movie is about a terrorist plot in the aftermath of 9/11 to collapse the U.S. economy. The violence in this movie is more amped-up than other Jack Ryan movies, since this one is modern. The violence is relentless with many gun, fist, and knife fights throughout. However it is not that much more graphic than a Bourne or Bond movie. Some blood is seen, but this is only from gunshot wounds, and in one scene, a man hits another man across the face with brass knuckles.
In the introductory scene, Jack is seen in a helicopter. The enemy fires a missile at the helicopter, sending it crashing. He is later seen with a hideously burnt face and we learn that he has almost broken his spine (it is fixed)
